The school was beautifully decorated with evergreens by the young ladies and when illuminated with tiny candles, nieeented a charming appearance. At 7.30 the school was packed and a. large progrimme consisting of songs, read- ings, rrcitations, dialogues, etc.. was splendidly rendered. At the close of the programme Santa Claus appeared, white the scholars sang -‘Those Eve- ning Bells.” and was greeted by a hearty shout from the children. Each one received a present from the tree, which, when uncovered looked very pretty. Much credit is due the genial teacher, Miss Marian Traverse, who took such piins in training the children and to Miss May Leard, who greatly aided in the musical part of the entertainment.
