good. In the United States the name of
Henry K. Wsmpole has for years been
the r-ynonyme for high quality and ai-
though they have only been established
in Canada a few years their business has
grown into very large proportions. Among
the many lines shown were elixers, fluid
¢XU¢‘\°lS. Pills, effervescent preparations,
Gelatin goods, etc. A feature of universal
interest is the pills of their manufacture.
These are made by a seoret process by
which the constituents of the pill are
retained in their originalforin indefinitely.
Those made from pulverous ingredients
may be r adily crushed to powder under
pressure ofthe thumb. The importance
of this may be readily appreciated when
it is known that pills of other manufac-
ture loften pass through toe stomach
undissolved because some gummy
substance has been employed to mass
them, thus rendering the pills hard and
insoluble. Another interesting display
is the etfervescent products of their man-
ufacture, sodium phosphate, maanesuim
suphate,etc. A recent analysis of sodium
phosphate effervescent by the Gov’ An-
alyst showed Wampoles to be the only
make containing the correct proper ion of
sodium phosphate. Their other goods are
all manufactured on the same standard of
