DUNBAR-BAGNAL\- WEDDING One of the prettiest of June wed- dings was solemn.-1; I at high noon in St. James c-hurcu, this city, when Miss .Helen Hynd- man Bagnall, daughter of_Dr. J. S. und Mrs. Bagnall, became the bride of Mr. W. H. V. Dunbar, assistant manager of the Bank of Nova Sco tia here. The churchwhich was most artistically decorated for the occasion by the' girl 'friends of /tho bride, was well filled by the friends of the young couple,-in addition to about sixty invited- guests. The bride and groom were unattended .and the ceremony..wss .performed by Rev. G. IC. Taylor. The bride was dressed in u travelling suit of navy blue trlcotlne with grey hot, gloves and shoes and carried s bouquet of_white roses with stream ers of lilies of the valley. Tho ushers were Mr. Manning Bagnall brother of the bride and Mr. Reg- inald Williams, 'nephew of the groom. Mr. F. T. W-atkis presided at the organ. After the ceremony the invited guests were entertained at the home of the brld-e's -parents where dainty refreshments were served and a most enjoyable hour was spent. His Honor Lieutenant Gov-srnor MacKinnon, in a fellcita- tious speech proposed -the health of the bride while Rev. George C. Taylor in a characteristically humorous speech proposed ths health of the groom, Both toasts with all their attendant good dish- es being heartily reciprocated by the guests and modestly responded to by the groom who expressed for himself and bride their apprecia- tion of the many klndnesses from them and the good wishes shower- ed upon them. Amid n shower of rice, confetti and tl\e proverbial old slippers Ml. and Mrs. -Dunbar left by auto for Borden enroute to _Guelph, Ont., the groom's former home, after n. brief stay' at which they will re- turn via a number of American and Canadian cities. An exceptionally large array of 'valuable and beautiful gifts bore eloquent .testimony to the -popular-ity of the bride. Among these were a case of silver -from the Bank of Nova Scotia, an in- laid mshoksny tes table from the Bank ol Commerce. a valuable chair from the pr0Dl°l6l-°\‘H “M guests of the Russ Hotel which had been the groom’s home during his residence in Charlottetown, also a number of goodly sited cheques, silver, cut glass, etc. The _-gnoom"s gift to the bride was n valuable fu-r coat. The Guardian heartily joins ill best wishes for their mutual hap~ pings and prosperity. . . `-. _ _ ‘JUST _ J REMINDINGIV ` ' .rf Protesltlnf Orphanage _ _`_,l§l;five_i§f_lQn_,_, I’ -_~..__....._ _.-.__ YOU s\¢.sas.\sV' _SNEAKERO and sandals, very & CO..
