Put the pulp through food chopper. using a tine knife. Drain pulp in a fine sieve before measuring 2 cupfuls, solidly packed. Measure vinegar and sugar into a large kettle. Add the pepper and stir mixture over heat until it reach- es a full rolling boll. Stir constantly before and during the boiling; boil hard for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in liquid pectin. Then stir and skim by turns. for 5 minutes, to cool the reltshsrghtly and thus dmouragc floating of the solids.
