III. On any Chief’lnspector ceasing: to hold his ollice, such Bonds shall be deemed to ho assignud to his successor, and the Deputies shall become and be the Deputies ot'sneh successor. IV. All Pickled Fish intended for exportation in 'l‘iCI‘CCs, Barrels or “all Barrels, over and above the number or quantity ot‘ 'l‘en Barrels (which may be eXportcd with or without such inspection,weighing and liranding as next hereinafter Prescribed), shall be inspected, weighed and branded, in accordance with this Act, by a Chief or Deputy Inspector duly appointed and sworn; and any person who shall in- spect or brand any cask of Pickled .lf‘ish Without being duly appointed and sworn, shall he, liahlc to a penalty not exceeding Five Pounds for evtry cask inspected or branded by him. V. All Tierces, Barrels and Half Barrels, in which Pickled Fish are intended to be packed, shall be made ol'sound, well seasoned, split or sawed slaves, free from sap, and in no case to be of Hemlock, and glie heading shall be of hardwood, pine or spruce, c, under a. penalty of one shilling and siXpence {or on w package not so branded. \7' ii. 'l‘hose to he bra ndcd number two shall cem- preheud the best Mackerel that remain alter the selection of the lirst quality, and shall be properly split and washed, well cured, and. in every respect, tree from taint, rust, or damage ol'any kind, and shall measure not less tian eleven inches from the extremity ofthe head to the crotch ol'the tail. X. Those to be branded number three, large, shall consist of good sound Mackerel. properly washed
