Biorhythms hasn’t been out for a few weeks but it’s midterm time so that is to be expected, Biologists are students too! For just a quick recap of what’s been going on in the Biology Club lets begin with the "big Bio Party" that was held in John MacMillan’s barn the Friday before Thanksgiving. And what a party it was! Highlights included: the 3 hour hanging of L.H. over a very supportive fence, tha hanging of P.B.’s pants from a very visible rafter, the Lambada performed to the last detail by P.M. and T.G.; the new speed walking champion N.W. The party was a huge success, and better things are expected from the Christmas party - maybe if we’re lucky I.M. will empty his stomach contents before he gets to the party. We have now well surpassed the membership record for the UPEI Biology Club. We stand at 140 members, and people are still joining. at the Barn. -The Pub was a success as well. It wasn’t a major fundraiser, but it contributed a great deal to the financial standing of the club. Thanks to everyone who worked and to everyone who came out to _Support us. We’ve got two teams set up now to play intramural volleyball. If we do at least as well as we did last year, and have at least half as much fun, it will be a worthwhile effort. If anyone is interested in playing any other intramural sport, talk to our Intramural Sports Representative - Mike Creighan. As promised, next week will be the first in our series of Mini Bio Profiles - Our first celebrity will be some one very close to our Vice President, 4 very interesting person I’m assuring you. See you next week. The UPEI X-Press October 25, 1990 Page 24
