About a month previous- ly they had heard he suffered a severe stroke and was removed to Charlottetown Hospital for ex- pert care and treatment. All that medical care and ex- pert nursing could do was done, but God had decided otherwise and he passed peacefully away on the above mentioned date, fortified by the rites of the Roman Catholic Church, his soul The deceased was the son of Thomas E. Murphy and Mary Ann Smith, and was in his 84th year. He was very well known, not only in his rural district where retirement several years ago, which he spent with his daughter and sondn~law in Charlottetown.
