An age- old story. A story. a fact. not to be overlooked with the coming of the New Year. WHAT OF FUTURE? What will we see in 1057 that we have not seen before? Do we expect a change for the better in the world situation? Will the East and the West finally come to terms? Or will the wars and the rumors of hot and cold wars still be current? There will not be much in any of this that we have not seen be- fore. it some sudden permanent change does come about in our own time. even then we can see similar development in the cen- turies that have gone before us. On the national scene we know even better what to expect. There is little in business, politics. edu- cation and recreation that will de viate from the norm. We should be conscious of these facts at the start of a New Year when there is so much cm- phasls on the new possibilities glittering somewhere over the horizon just waiting our arrival. But the Christian must first strengthen himself by putting on the New Man whom Saint Paul mentions-that is Jesus Christ. The Christian then begins to live his spiritual New Year.
