Tau element of mystery has shrouded the visit to this town of two gentlemen said to be oonnectod with the datetive force of Boston. They arrived last weelr forthe purpose of copturiogii! possible a young man of this city who was alleged to he “wanted” fora rather nasty offence committed last summer in Lynnn, Mass. Tho hunted one got wind of the pursuit and disappeared. The question of his whereabouts is exercising some curious minds, but it is thought that the bound. aries of, the provice proved large enough to afford room forthe fugitive toescupc Life/aea.rch. It is doubtful from all accounts if Anything more important than the recovery of the bail bond was required from the culprit, as $500 had been pledged for him and forfeited when he returned to this province. WiLr.u.\r F. Fnssnn, of I.inwoad, passed through the city yesterday on his way home after u visit to his daughters, Mrs. Layton McCabe, Alex- snrira, and Mrs. G. D. Jenkins, Vernon River Bridge. Mr. Fraser visited the old homestead and saw the old loghouse in which he was born, 51 years ago. The olil buildinglls still in good repair. It wus , built about ill) years ago, it is now used as a horse stable. The estate on which it stands was purchased about 103 years ago by the lnfc‘Johii Fraser who came to the Island, in tho ship Polly, in 1803. Some years later, the estate was divided between his three sons, whose decendants in the third generation, still occupy the three several farms. Mr. Fraser has learned that there are still living 10 or 12 sons of the emigrants who came on the Polly. Donald Fraser, now in his 88 year is enjoying fairly good health, and is able fo attend to his numerous farm duties.
