The Rector then introduced the Guest Speaker for the evening. He was Rev. George Ebsary. Rector of the Parish of Crspaud- Springfield. Mr. Ebsary took as his topic "Why I am an Angli- can!" In dealing with the sub- ject he placed himself in the position of an adult with a ma- lure mind who is seeking know- ledge and is desirious of joining a Christian Church. He empha- sized the opening Chapter of St. Paul's Epistle to Timothy con- cerning the necessity of being of a sound mind. Being such there are better reasons for be- ing an Anglican than just being born of Anglican Parents. He pointed ou that first he would want his hurch to he revealed of God and which required a firm Faith in Jesus as the Son of God. This is a basic fact for any Christian Church. Then he would look for first hand evidence in Christian writings at the time of Christ. He would find a com- plete and explicit faith in the Bible which teaches that certain practices and powers were com- mitted to a small group of men. Therefore he would chase that Church which was set up by Christ and to which He gave His authority to carry on in His ab- Kay as master of ceremonies and Mrs. James Peach terian Junior Choir; Mrs. dance, Mrs. G.
