Re~l-Exchanged Wives.
\Vli.terville. Me., .Aug.l2-William Hen-
derson and \Va.lter Moore, who exchange d
wives about four years ago in Moncton.
.\'. B.. met here yesterday, and ma.de rn
other transfer, so that now each man has
his own wife, and all say they never were
happier.
The families lived on adjoining farms in
New Brunswick, and were good neighbors
until one day Moore found Henderson
calling on his wife.
“If you want her you can have her,"
Moore said. _
Henderson and Mrs.Moore disappeared.
Moore then employed Mrs Henderson as
s housekeeper. Mrs. Moore long afterward
beganstudying the photograph of her hu I
band, and became less cheerful. Hender-
son noticed it, and after talking over the
matter both agreed that they would lik€
to take back their legal partners.
Friends advertised for the missing ones.
and they were finally located tn Long Is-
land, where Moore has a farm. They, t00
were tired of the exchange, and said so by
telegraph.
It was arranged to meet in \Va.terville,
and the four arrived here yesterday.
There were no tears and no scenes. They
simply met on the station platform, and
Mr. and Mrs. Moore left for New York,
and Mr. and Mrs.Henderson for Moncton.

almost daily outdoor plunge and swim it

At Philadelphia on Saturday Johnny
Nelson of Chicago, defeated Archie Mc-
Eachern, of Canada, in a 30~mile-motol‘-
paced bicycle race at the Woodside Park
track. Nelson broke every record from 1
to 30mlles, with the exception of those
for 1, 2 and 25 miles.
Much of the interest of the ~ race was
lost owing to an accident to McEachern’s
wheel, which precluded any possibility of
his winning. The saddle of the bicycle
broke in the last lap of the second mile.
In securing a new wheel, he lost 1 1-2 laps,
and was able to recover only half a lap._
