AT the police court yesterday morning
the Liquor Regulation summons against
Peter Coyle was dismissed. Peter Mc-
Cabe, for drunkenness, was fined S4 or 30
days. Alexander Darrach, for the same
offence, was fined $3 or 30 days.

of the choir of the North River Baptist
Church, with such a company of congen-

An Ottawa despatch says: Ki Ag, Arnold
_ and Sutherland of Ottawa gave evidence
‘ in an investigation to-day into the tragedy
at Vanleek H. I., in which Rev. John Mc-
1 Leod and_others were|killed.They said the
stones used as backing was very bad.
The mortar used was faulty. The build-
` 5118 was not properly boarded and not
carefully inspected. The public were at
'the mecry of the contractors. Enough
precautions were not taken to make such
a building safe. The arch which first fell
had not been properly built. The inside
Was built first and then the backing put in.

the bridge will be finished this morning 1
