Older Reports: DCS advised the Society by an E-mail dated Dec. 21, 2004 of a sighting report by LH that a White Pelican was seen by BMa and three others (including 2 birders) on Aug. 12, 1983. It was seen at 30 yards close to Courtin Island, flew around the boat, and landed again close by. BMa indicated that he had reported it to FRC. VL heard a Townsend’s Solitaire at Basin Head on Dec. 18 (DCS). Corrections: 3 Greater White-fronted Geese reported at Rocky Point and Cumberland in the last issue (#174) in January 2005 were later identified as Pink-footed Geese.
