Provision is made for the appointment of vendors, who may sell to legally quali- tled physicians, chemists or druggists for medicinal purposes only, or may sell for exclusively sacramental purposes on the certificate ofa clergyman affirming that the wine is required for sacramental pur- poses. But no Inspector is permitted to divulge any information obtained by hi inspection of such certificate, prescrip- tion orreirister, except on any prosecu~ tion under the Act, and if he does so he is liable to a penalty of ilfty dollars. And all Inspectors are sworn to secrecy, unless in case of prosecution. Provision is music for search warrants to search for liquors when information is laid on oath suiilclent to satisfy the Magistrate that there is reasonable ground for belief that liquor is being sold or keptiorsale contruryto law, and for thc seizure anti confiscation of such liquors and the prosecution of the offender. The giving away of liquors, or any devicesto evade the provisions of the Prohibition Act is declared an unlawful selling. Apenalty of $100 or three months lm- prisonment isprovlded against any person who interferes with an officer in discharge oi his duties under the Act. All fines and penalties recovered under the Act are paid into the provincial treasury, hut for offences committed in Charlottetown one tl1l1~d of the fines is paid to the City Treasurer.
