On August 18th at thc Iiome of
John and Mrs Cudmorc, a very pile-
asing event took place when their
daughter, Mable '1‘. was united in
wedlock to William Brooks, both of
Union Corner. Miss Mable Cudmore
of Brackley Point, cousin ot the
bride, acted as bridesmaid, while
William Cudmore, brother of the
bride, _ very ably supported the
groom. The ceremony was per-
formed by Rcv Mr Leard, eiicircled
by members of L. 0. L. Nu 1147 of
which groom and groomsmaii were
members. Mrs Leard presided at the
organ. After the ceremony, a most
sumptuous repast was partaken of.
The numerous presents indicate the
high esteem in which the contracting
parties are held by their many
friends, who wish them a long, hap-
py and prospered married life.
