A sad shooting fatality occurred yester- day afternoon nt Rocky Point, about half a mile from the wharf. Shortly after noon two young lads emch about sixteen years of age went shooting `from the road, Their names were Am- brose Smith, son of John Smith, and Oli ver McLean, whose father is dead. They were some distance apart when McLenu`s gun was discharged. Smith shouted to McLean asking_him if hc had shot anything but receiving no reply went to where he was. gun shot wound f`rom`a twenty cslabre 'gun in his groin. He died in a few minu- tes before assistance could he brought. The accident had evidently been caused by his gun exploding whllc going through the snow.
