MacDonald, on Tuesday, November 27th. Notwithstanding the condition of the roads all the members were present and also quite a few visitors. As one en- {lered the house and saw all the smiling faces grouped around, cno could almost wish that the Club met every night instead of once a week. Whist was played till 10 o'clock. Then a bountiful luncheon was served by the hostess, assisted by some of the ladies present. The prizes for the whist were awarded to Miss Emma MacPhee and Mr. Michael llvlclntyre, while the con- solation prizes fell to Mrs. Alphon- sus MaoPhee and Mr. John F. Fee'- han. ‘Dancing was indulged in for a few hours, the musicians being Mr. l-lugh C. MacPhee and Mr. Neil Mclunls. A number of solos rend cred by Mr. McIntyre and Miss Mabel MacDonald, were very much enjoyed. A vote of thanks was tendered Mr. and Mrs. McDonald, for their efforts in making the cv- ening such a success, by Mrs. Hugh C. McPhee. Then all joined in singing “God Save the King" and afterwards repaired tohheir homes. There let me die. PERSONALS . .*Mr. John Morrison.
