The popular songs of the {course were sung for the last time at Gllwell, Camp Buchsn, P.E.I., 1048. The final log wee read and remarks were heard from all members of the staff and representatives of ‘the students. NEW ACT -Twc men charged under the new Temperance Act were the first prosecutions under this Act to come before Magistrate Gil- bert Gaudet. One pleaded guilty to being intoxicated in is public place, while the other pleaded guilty to having liquor in his possession in a place other than his residence, as required by the Act. Each received the minimum fine of $20 and costs or 30 days for such oflenses.
