In his re- port siuce the last call at the island, Superintendent Boutilier stated thaton April 27th, two fishermen named Bollgard Francais and H. J. Baptiste, belong- ing to the fishing schooner Aristide, of Concale, France, in a dory drifted ashore on the island very much ex~ hausted, after being adrift two days, having lost sight of their vessel. They landed near the West End light. On April 30th, two more French Hiber- men, Bosset Yrlc and Nathaillaine La.u~ rente, of the schooner L’Aiigladaise, of St. Pierre, drifted ashore in their dory and they were very weak and exhausted . They reported they had been adrift six days and had subsisted on fresh fish and water. The four men are still at the ` island and were coming along well under Superintendent Boutilier‘s care when the Minto left. IF you are casting about seeking an out ing, possibly a visit to the Pan-American Exposition, Buffalo. via, the commodious and palatial steamers of the International Steamship Line, connecting with the Boston and Albany Railway and the great four track New York Central and and Hudson River Lines will give the greatest results for the least money. The steamers of the International Line are at once the fastest and finest of all ocean and coast~wi.~'e vessels. It has been said that the interior of the steamers are dreams of beauty and as perfect as taste and science can suggest. '1' he tourist traffic by the International line in years gone by indic- ates that the route is popular. Those who contemplate visiting the Province from the neighboring Republic should enjoy the lerg and easy swell of the Fundy. In the construction or the steamers the tourist his the pleasant assurance that sudden stoi ms will not disturb his sleep, nor boisterous waves fill the day with the agonies of mal de mer. It may truthfully he said that the cases of sickness on this route are rare and mild, which is quite natural on water so peaceful. It is the exception when a single passenger is missed from his or her place in the dining saloon. -_.--@-_._ UNTIL further notice the steamer Hills boro will inn to Orwell on Wednesday and to Ciapaud on 'l hursday of each week, leaving Charlottetown at 8 o’clock a. m. Should these days prove unlitlthen she will goto Orwell cn Thursday and Crap- and on Saturday. 27 d&w 3w Pat Sc Ex ____¢_.._.....
