XXIX. Any Collector of Impost and Ex cise who shall neglect or omit to administer any ot‘the oaths prescribed in and by the twenty-lit'th, thirty-seventh, forty-ninth, seventieth and seven- tv-second sections of the hereiubelore recited Act of the nineteenth Victoria, chapter one, and in and by any of the sections of this Act, shall for each and every such neglect orcoinission, forfeit and pay into the 'l‘reasury of this Island, the sum of filly pounds for the use of Her Ma- jesty’s Government; to he recovered in the Sn- preme Court of Judicature, in ller Mayesty’s name, in an action of debt, on the oath of a cre- dible witness. XXX. All Collectors of Impost, now, or hereafter to be appointed, shall, on rendering a just and true account of, and paying into the Treasury of'this Island all moneys received by them, under and by virtue of the previsions of this Act, and on their Accounts being certified as correct by the Auditors of public accounts, be paid by \Varrant drawn by the Lieutenant Governor in Council on the Treasury of this Island, an amount equal to five pounds per cen- tum on all moneys received and paid over by such Collectors ofImpost under this Act, except the Collectors of Impost for Charlottetown, Georgetown, and Bedeque, who are already provided for by salary. XXXI. All Goods, \Vares and Merchandize, imported into this Island, in Steam Vessels, may be lauded by the masters or officers thereoflwith- out previous ent'ry of such Steam Vessels, or the Goods, \Vares and Merchandize soimported in them, at the Impost Office, or Permit to land the same being bad ; provided all such Goods, gobscene articles; and if iinpm'ted, the same shall lbe seized and destroyed by any Collector of iImpost and Excise, or preventive ollieer. XXXIII. All lines, penalties and forfeitures imposed under or by virt ne ol'any ol'the provisions 2contained in the hereinbelore recited Act ot'the inineteenth Victoria, chapter one, or of'this Act, imaybe prosecuted and sued for by information of Her Majesty’s Attorney or Solicitor General, tiled in the Supreme Court ot'this Island. XXXIV. "l his A et shall go into operation and be in force immediately on the passing thereof, and from thence shall continue and be in force until the first day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-Seven. XXXV. So soon as this Act shall go into operation, the Act of the twenty-eighth Victoria chapter one, intituled “ An Act for raising a Revenue,” shall be and the same is hereby re- pealed.
