Brown; was horn in Grand Tracadie. the; daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Watts. Her people lat or moved to York where she com- pleted her early education. She graduated from the P.E.I. Huspl-I tal School of Nursing with that class of 1925 following which she practised her piofession here on, the Island and in Boston. Mass. i In 1931 she married Ollie Brownl and resumed residence in York. where they lived until 1944 at which time they moved to Char- lottetown and Mrs. Brown again resumed her nursing duties until the time of her illness some 18 months ago. She leaves to mourn. her hus- hand. Ollie: one daughter. Edith,I Toronto. Ont.. and one son Wen- dell. Charlottetown nnd one step- son. Harvey. Toronto; also sur- viving her is one sister. Margab et. York, and four brothers, Har- old Frank and George York. and John. Grand Tracadie; a sister Edith, and brother. Rueben. pre- deceased her several years ago During her lifetime Mrs. Brown endeared herself to friends and eighboru alike for her cheerful attitude and helping hand when-I ever the need arose: As a tokenl or the respect and esteem in which she was regarded by the nursing profession. a godly rep- resentation of nurses attended the funeral service in a body at Trin- oty United Church where the ser- vice was conducted by the Rev. A. F. Macbean. assisted by Rev. 6. Howard Christie; Soloist was Mr. George Johnson who sang "No Night There." a favourite hymn of Mrs. Brown's. Interment was in York cemetery where the service was conducted by Rev. J. A. Sproule, assisted by Rev. G. Howard Christie. Pall - bearer: were Messrs. Leith Watts.
