     It is with very great sorrow 
     
     that I tell you of the sudden death 
     
     of Professor Gerald Perry, a mem- 
     
     ber of the faculty since the uni- 
     
     versity’s inception in 1969 and 
     
     for two years before that at St. 
     
     Dunstan’s. I shall convey to his 
     
     family the heart-felt sympathy at 
     
     their loss. 
     
    

    
     At this time I do not know 
     
     what arrangements are being 
     
     made for the funeral. But I do 
     
     know that many of us will want 
     
    

    
     ' to be present. If it is necessary . 
     
     to cancel individual classes, I as- 
     
     sume that you will do so.
