These Regulations were made by Order-in-Council iiggzd July 20, 1950 and are effectiveon and after July 29, The regulations state that under the provisions of "'I'he Highway Traffic Act" it will be considered" "unsa.'.e or dangerous" for more than ten persons to ride in , the back of a truck unless there is secure seating accommoda- tion and all persons are seated. This does not apply to vehicles carrying passengers to I or from Church or any other place of "worship. Nor does it apply to the following: vehicles used solely in taking work- men to and from their work over a highway on which no adequate transportation is provided at convenient times by authorized operators: vehicles carrying persons on charter -to a picnic or similar outing over a road where there is no adequate transportation at reasonable times. ' The new regulations also provide that all such vehicles carrying passengers in the space normally intended for mer- chandise must not be driven at a speed greater than 20 miles an hour.
