The Terms of this bursary are as follows: This award will be masde annually on the recommendation of the Scholarship Committee a student of mature years, female, full- time in any year. Application forms are available at the Registrar’s Office. ‘The deadline for applications is Friday, 13 October 1989 and the an- nouncement of the winner should be made later in October. Donna and Peter Meincke Alumni Scholarship: Two UPEI Alumni Association Scholarships The UPEI Alumni Association offers the three scholarships mentioned above valued at $500 each for 1989-90 Following are the terms: 1) Applicants must be full-time students in Senior year at UPEI carrying at least a normal load of five courses per semester ans scheduled to graduate in May 1990. 2) The awards will be based on acabemic performace and finan- cial need. 3) The awards will be for one year only. 4) Applications must be received at the Registrar’s Office no later than noon on Friday, 13 October 1989. Application forms are available at the Registrar’s Office. (Provincial) LODE Scholarship: a. Open b. The provincial Chapter of the IODE has established a yearly scholarship which is available to an Island student and resident entering Sophomore year at UPEI. It is awarded on the basis of acabemic achievement and financial need. It is payable to UPEI for the tuition fees for the second semster, beginning in January, 1990. Application forms are available at the Registrar’s Office, UPEI Re- strictions: 1) Must be resident of PEI (minimum 5 years); 2) Must have been in full-time attendance at UPEI during last year in University; : 3) Must be entering Sophomore year; and 4) Must not be on full-tuition scholarship. c. Tuition fees for the 2nd semester. d. November 15 St Andrew's Society Bursary: a. Open b. St. Andrew’s Society bursaries are made available throught endowment funds left to the Society for the promotion of Christian education of youth. To be eligible for a bursary, candidates must be: Catholic; a resident of PEI; have a Scottish surname or be at least fifty percent of Scottish origin; and be a full-time university student. St. Andrew’s bursaries are tenable for only the first two years of university. fe d. October 15 Elicabeth Cousins Large Memorial Scholarship: a. Home Economics or a related field. b. This scholarship is open to any student entering the Junior or Senior year in Home Economics at the University of Prince Ed- ward Island, or, a graduate study in the Home Economics or a re- lated field.
