The Contest Department reserves the right to reject any candidate or contestant it may consider undesirable, without giv- ing a reason for doing so. _ The balloting will be by means of single ballots, which will be published in all issues from The Giiardlan, and renewals and new subscribers to The Morni-ug Daily, Rural Daily and Satiir- day Guardian will carry votes according to the accompanying schedule of votes. Votes cannot be purchased. ' All money inust be accompanied by subscriptions and the names of subscribers must accompany remittances. _g Votes will not be issued fora subscription less than One Dollar. _ All votes issued on subscriptions are good until the end of the contest, and may be polled at the discretion of the candidate or the subscriber. All coupons will he kept for the inspection of contestant at any time during life of contest. , Single ballots (those printed in the ipaper) must be polled within the time limit printed thereon. Votes will be allowed on subscriptions secured anywhere. Votes once cast 'cannot be changed to count for another candidate. Candidates will be divided into districts according to their place of residence, but they niay secure ballots and subscriptions anywhere. READ OVER THAT SECTION RELATING TO DIS- TRICTS; DETERMINE WHICH ONE YOU ARE IN AND SEND YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS TO THE CONTEST MANAGER. A candidate cannot remove from one district to another and retain the votes to her credit in the former district. Districts showing little or no activity m y be cancelled at the discretion of the Contest Manager, and hils decision will be final and conclusive. ~ In case of a tie in any separate district those tieing will each receive the district prize. A board opt-hree responsible business men will have exclu- sive control o the'-ballot box the last day of the contest, and make the announcement of the result of that day’s voting and declare the winners.
