At Friday’s session of the Methodist Conference at Moncton Dr, Courtice stated that the 20th century fund now amounted to $850,000. It is expected that the million maik wil! be reacbed by the first of next January. New Brunswick aod P. E. Island have contributed over $30,000, The official board returns and the amounts raised by the different districts for the connexional fund were submitted. Charlottetown’s contribution te tbe latter was $4,069.66, a decrease of $436.80 ; Summerside, $2,788.33, an increase of $32.88. Charlottetown contributed $10,- 39664 for circuit purposer, an in- crease of $966.56; Summerside, $4,- 653.62, a decrease of $46 84. F r all purposed Charlottetown raieed $20,259 30, and Summerside $11,451 87. The total amount raised for conference by all the circuits is $128,850.22. Last year it was $128,555.06 Rey. Dr. Stewart and Dr.J. R. Inch were elected clerical and lay delegates, with Rev. G@. W. Fisher and Dr. Allison alternates. to represent the conference ai the Ecumenieal Council in London in 1901 Tributes were paid to ministers who had died during the year. Among these was Rev. D. H. Lodge, of Charlottetown. The secretary was instructed to send letters of sympathy from the conference to the widows of tbe deceased ministers. The financial statement in connection with educational work showed a total amoxzotof contributions during the year of $933.44, as against $1,181.79 last year, a net decrease of $248.35. Moore will be camp commandant, Masonic CeLepraTion. — The Masons of Charlottetown yesierday celebrated the Feast of St. John the Baptist by attend- ing service in St. Paul’s Church, where an able sermon was preached by Rey. Leo Williams and a choice musical pro~ gramme furnished by the choir under the direction of Bro. Samuel N. Earle. The parade to and from the churcb was viewed by hundrede of citizens. The music by the 82nd Reg: Band was excellent. The procession was large and presented a splendid appearance. After the service at the church a delegation of the brethren visited Bro Dr. James McLeod, who has been very ill for some time part, and the band played **God be with you till we meet again.
