Libelling Owners of the Mohegan Loxpox, Nov 25,.—Captain Purdy, who was arrested a few days ago charged with criminally libelling the owners cf the recently- wrecked steamship Mobegan, in haviog written a letter to the survivors of the Mohegan aseerting that the thip had been “‘pul away” in accordance with the orders ot the owners, was arraigned ia the Criminal C » “Old Bailey.” In auswer tothe charge Purdy declared that he would plead justification, The Common Sergeant said that Purdy’s accuration was Of @ most serious nature, and meant that the owners had d: liberate- ly scuttled the ship.
