THIS MONTHS COVER The cold, wet weather of this spring delayed the appearance of new leaves and flowers on our deciduous trees but we are now being blessed with a profusion of flowering trees. The flowers depicted on this issures covers are from the sugar maple (Acer saccharum) and the striped maple (A. ens lvanicum). The sugar maple is capable of growing in heavy shade (shade tolerant; while the striped maple can withstand only limited shade. _ 2 -
