Walling Ian MacKinnon, Siaron 4 "Snowiady" MacDonald, Ian Vessey, and Holly MacDonald attended. me confereice theme was "Management in the Eighties". the format consisted of several guest speakers. Krass Kestin, a Management Consultant from Florida gave a spell- binding speach on Managenmt, the challenge of the 80's. Mr. Kestin, a psychologist defined the timeout-standing diallenges of the 80's as women in industry and the conservation of human \ resources. Mr. Kestin also provicbd helpful informatim doout interviews and aptitude tests. 1 Bill Steeves, from N.B. Tel” ‘ an executive umber of Managenmt Accountants of Canada, gave a factual pre- sentation. Mr. Steeves felt mnagexent in Atlantic region will be increasingly challenged. Mr. Steeves extended a plea for BEA and B Com graduates to stay in the Atlantic region to fill the need for qualified ‘ nanagers. Gordm Eeeney, Vice- President of the myal Bank of Canada, addressed the topic of problem faced by managers now and in the future. Feeney stated too nany people be- cute superficial managers.
