ONE COLD, WET, RAINY DAY LAST week | bundled myself up and headed for the Atlantic Veterinary College Cafeteria. True, it isnot a restaurant but they do serve food-- not much food, but food nonetheless. The variety is similar to the Pit, and prices are about the same. Variety is one of the steps to a healthy diet, and the Vet. students are craving it. They want more than the usual slice of pizza or bowl of corn chowder. Who can blame them? | haven't verified this myself, by | heard from a reliable source that a large Chocolate milk at the AVC is $2, and that same milk would only cost 96 cents at the Book Store. | give the AVC 2 1/2 cookies: a) because everyone was friendlier) | didn't have to wear a gas mask to avoid smoke inhalation and c) the day | was there the AVC students were having a bake sale, (the banana bread was really yummy). Jennifer The cafeteria | just finished eating there not more than ten minutes ago, and my stomach is upset with me. I had the fish and chips, with a nice glass of milk ($3.02), it was lacking in a lot of things. Hot is always a nice quality in fish and gravy, and the ketchup should be put through the blender to remove the lumps. The milk was good, | got to put ice cubes into my glass ‘cause | can’t UDANT DETROSDECTIVE HS Werk. He MC Corete av Woe War Do HAL stand warm milk. | don’t know what else to say, | just didn’t enjoy the food, and | probably won't go back. My sympathies for those who eat there all the time. 2 1/2 cookies Jennifer The cafeteria The food looked cruddy and the guy was rude. So! left. Ok, maybe | should elaborate: | was late, so only the weird food no one else wanted was left. The guy | tried to give my order to ignored me. Surprise, surprise-- the prices weren't listed here, either. Marriott strikes again. | hate to admit it but maybe the best food on campus is the stuff in the vending machines.
