Want to learn more about the Internet while improving your study skills? Why not take University 101 or Philosophy 111 on the Internet! Be one of the pioneers in a new era in education! Beginning in September 1998, two new one-semester credit courses, University 101 and Philosophy 1 11, will be offered to a limited number of students via the World Wide Web. University 101 is a condensed version of the University 100 course. Philosophy 111, on the Internet, is equivalent to the classroom version of Philosophy 111. Both courses offer you a chance to study at a time and place of your choosing. Because the courses are delivered electronically, students can be located anywhere they have access to the World Wide Web. The university comes to you, wherever you are. If you are registered as a UPEI student, you can get access to the Internet via your Novell account. Or, if you wish to work from home, you can purchase an Internet account through Computer Services (contact Chris Martin at 566-0465).
