CHARLOTTETOWN, PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND, SATURDAY, MARCH 9, 1878. City Report. From the City Report we extract that of the Auditors, which brings the condition of the City Accounts into a narrow compass. His Worship the Mayor and City Council. GENTLEMEN : The undersigned beg respectfully to sub- jmit their Report as Auditors cf the City The Treasurer also submitted for our in- spection a classified statement of the Ex- penditure, as required by the Act of Incor- poration, made up from the Mayor’s cheques drawn upon him; but as that statement is necessarily incomplete, from the fact that some of the cheques drawn upon him had not been presented for payment within the year, and from the want of sufficient infor- mation as afforded by the cheques paid, as We have also examined the City Clerk’s Accounts and Vouchers.
