Oct. 23—Stranded in Halifax since Oct. l3. a grief- striclren English war bride and. her two children today were still without explanation of the dis- appearance of her Canadian vet- eran husband. Albert Martin of Montreal. The Yorkshire girl. the former Eliza Cashmere, and her three children. aged seven and six years and an eight-monthswid baby. arrived in Halifax aboard the liner Aquitania. Shortly after her arrival the infant. taken ill aboard ship. died in hospital. When no word was received from her husband Mrs. Martin was offered shelter by the Sal- vatlon Army. The last time Dominion oflic- ials heard from Martin was in September. since that time even the military directorate of’ IUD!!- rlation has been unable to find him. Today Salvation Army officials said Mrs. Martin had received no information as to her humands whereabouts but added that mili- tarv officials still were the-lr investigation.
