The inquest was conducted by Cornoner Dr. W.E. Callaghan. and Mr. D.0 Stewart, Q.C., represent- ed the Crown. The first witness. Mary Mac- Quaid, R.N. of Kensington en route home from work at Prince County Hospital on the night of the accident, told of being stopped by two boys on the highway who told her they had Just met a car and that moment: later they had heard the screech of tires fol- lowed by the sound of a crash further along the road, and they wanted a drive back to investi- gate the incident. On arrival at the scene she had examined one of the injured without finding any sign of life. and she had tried without success to free Richard Hubley who was pinned beneath the car. before she went to phone from a nearby home for a doctor. ambulance. and police. Dr. LK Zielinskf of Kenlfngton told of being called to the scene Inquest Held At S'side In Twin Fatality At New Annan A total of nine witnesses were had received a report of the se- cident while on duty in Summer- stde.
