      "Blues
      has
      been
      a
      big
      influence
      on
      my
      music
      and
     
     
      Richard’s
      (Carstens)
      as
      well
      although
      he’s
      more
     
     
      influenced
      by
      David
      Bowie
      and
      some
      even
      more
     
     
      obscure
      english
      rock
      stars
      like
      the
      Spiders
      and
     
     
      David
      Harley.
      In
      the
      late
      seventies
      and
      early
     
     
      eighties
      it
      was
      punk
      and
      hardcore
      that
      was
      the
      big
     
     
      influence.
      My
      old
      band,
      The
      Hoodoos,
      we
      were
     
     
      doing
      old
      blues
      and
      R&B
      staff
      with
      a
      hardcore
     
     
      edge;
      it
      was
      like
      an
      eighties
      interpretation
      of
      the
     
     
      fifties
      and

      Michael

      this
      will
      affect
      the
      Wammee’s
      musical

      "Well,
      with
      the
      new
      project,
      we
      have
      done
      a
      lot
     
     
      more
      funky
      dance
      oriented
      stuff.
      The
      sax
      and
     
     
      keyboards
      add
      a
      different
      dimension
      that
      was
      never
     
     
      there
      before,
      and
      really
      enables
      us
      to
      be
      more
     
     
      musically
      creative,
      that
      we
      were
      with
      just
      guitars
      and
     
     
      drums.
      With
      samplers
      and
      keyboards
      it
      really
      fills
     
     
      the
      songs
      out
      and
      adds
      a
      different
      character
      to
      the
     
     
      music
      which
      is
      really
      exciting
      to
