The accident occurred on the Charles River. Mr. W.H. Thomas, of Newton, wasin the canoe with Miss Cahill, and while they were exchsoging places the frail craft upset. The current was strong at the point where the aocident occurred, and notwithstanding Mr. Thomas’ efforta to save his companion she was drowned. Mr. Thomas himself narrowly escaped.
