It ivas a gala day tor‘ list boys, editors, stereotypers. op- craters. composers. pressmen, report- m. etc., and to say that each and every one had a most enjoyable time. would be only putting it mildly. . During Saturday morning lntemm. tent showers made things look gloomy about the office. and all one could hear was. "I wonder ii its going to fine upv?”—- and for a spell it looked is i! the weather man was against us. but around noon the silver lining aegan to show and everybody looked pleased. I (Cars leaving at 1.30 and 2 o'clock noon had the happy throng eh the grounds where dancing. singing and last but not least athletic sports were held. The tide being out. the meet was staged on the splendid beach, fronting the residence on East River. The list of events which ap- pear below were run oft 1n excellent style.
