A NARROW ESCAPE. - Mr. Wil-
liam Scott, Charlottetown, steward ol

from drowning at Halifax some days
ago. While going aboard the steamer
at night he in some way fell overboard.

RECRUITING CAMPAIGN START-
ED.- The opening meeting oi’ the
new recruiting campaign of the Infan-
try unit for l’. E. I., was Thursday
evening In Stanhope Hall. The

ses were delivered hy Dr. Fullerton
