To w. and Mrs. James L LePage Dear James L. and Lucy: Tonight we gather here for a. very regrettable purpose, to bid you farewell ere you move to your new home. It. was with mingled feelings that we heard of your decision to sell your old home. We felt cheered to think that you were going to retire from the very strenuous occupation of farming. but saddened to think that your retirement necessitated your n- movai to another community. However. there is consolation la U"? iiwiight that your new home u not many miles from here and we all look forward to the pleu- ure of retaining former associat- ions. You. James L, have always tak- cn a keen interest in the life of our community and have always strlven. with marked distinction to further the advancement d school. church and social life. You. Lucy. with your cheery smile and friendly disposition will be greatly missed especially in our Institute where you were such a devoted and staunch mem- ber. As an enterprising farmer with your capable and willing hclpmate you have attained at an early age the enviable position of being able to retire. Few there are who pass on the torch to younger should- ers when they are still young enough to enjoy the fruits of their labor. In closing we ask you to accept this gift as a. remembrance of our happy associations and we know that we are voicing the feelings and sentiments not only of those present but also of your countless friends round about. when we lay that we ‘rope and trust you will be spared to thoroughly cnioy many happy years in your new home. Signed on behalf of your friondl and neichbors of Anglo Rustioo. (Patriot please copy) Watch for
