With regard to the $30,000 received in 100i, that subsidy was secured cit a tremcndoils sacrifice to this Province: because by that agreement we sold out all our rights for uninterrupted winter communication. Fortunately, that barrier has been removed; that stipuldtion has not been observed by the Dominion Government and we ,have been able to treat it as an open ‘matter. But alt the time that sub-_ , sldy was accepted that was the bargain. In 1907. l readjustment of all the pio- vinces, and a subsidy increase hook effect as a matter of course.
