New iieporis Of Unusual Growth The unusuel summer weather which the province has been ex- periencing this fell has brought out some unusual effects. and un- usual activities at this time of the year. Several reports have come in re- garding flowers blooming again. and two weeks Igo Mr. Louis Mac- Donald had : rose bush almost all in bloom. Last week Mr. Arnold Vanlderstlne showed. and can still show. beds of pansies bloom- ing in all the freshness of their new growth. New buds hlve also appeared on many trees in this locality to give evidence of the resurgence of the new growth even at this late date of the year. The most unusual activity. how- ever, was that which has been taking place on the fanm of Mr. Don Sempie. Montague. where for the past week they have been digging potatoes which are equal in quality to those picked in October. Mr. William Gillis of Union Road has also been pulling turnips for the past week which are also of good quality. Although no oi-her reports of late growth have been reported. there are. without doubt. many other in- stances of this reappearance of late growth on the Island. Murray Harbour North Mr. Edward Glow.
