| | | J LL ui “ENGINEERS DO IT WITH PRECISION” ENGINEERING SOCIETY NEWS PUBCRAWL For those of you who don’t know, it’s the middle of the Fall Semester and what better way to celebrate than having a “‘middle of the fall pub crawl’’. After a few weeks off, the Engineering Society has planned its first Pub Crawl. It’s set for Friday, October 23. Yes, that’s this Friday for all of you who are unsure of what day it is. CORN BOIL TAPE Not much happened over the past couple of weeks. The only entertainment was a wonderful game called ‘‘what did I do at the corn boil?’’ This game was played by many until we showed them what they did. Just when you thought the Engineering Corn Boil was forgot- ten... Wrong! We have it all on video tape. It was played for an excited crown in the Duffy Amphitheatre. Due to its expert filming it is not recommended for people who are Prone to motion sickness. There was a cameo appearance by Arnold Swartenwatever who showed more than his face, more than once. Another highlight was the taping ofa demonstration of projectile motion, however much of the effect was lost due to a lack of light. Unfortunately, a fashion ‘faux pas’’ was filmed as a semi-Engineer wore the same attire as the bartender. We would now like to leave you with the theme of the corn boil tape ‘‘This Butts For You!’’ (Sorry girls, we just had to say it). With little news to report this week, we decided to give to you alittle humour to get you through the day. NEWS FLASH After an attempt to get the corn boil tape on ‘‘America’s Funniest Home Videos’’, we received this message: -’’ Yeah, right’’- we can’t imagine the response. Engineering Quote of the Week -- Bio’s don’t die, they just smell like it.
