I POWER FAILURE - A power failure shortly after seven o'clock last evening left Summerside in darkness for a brief period as the result of a break in power in the Charlottetown area. This left too heavy a load for the Summerside plant to handle with the generat- ors that are normally in use and several circuits were cut off until the emergency generator was put into operation. However the gener- ator was not used as the Charlotte- town and Summerside circuits were synchronized quickly and power.was restored after about ten minutes. Several areas were affected.
