wires for old junk. Another Council-

whereupon four Councillors' vote to
give him leave to withdraw his
motion and that ends the matter.
But it does not end the danger.
Fortunately we have- had few bad

ly reconsider their action and at once
have the Ere alarm put in order, and
afterward kept in order. If they
will not take this imperatively neces-
sary precaution the City will almost
inevitably suEer on account of the
neglect.
