At Milton li On Tuesday evening. July 2nd. the Rt. Rev. Bishop Hackenley, D.D. I/ard Bishop of the diocese of Nova Scotia., was present at Bt. John's Anglican Church, Milton, for the purpose of administering the Apo- stolic rite of Confirmation and to assist with the Induction service at which the Rev. E. Osborne Lan- caster was made rector of the parish oi' Milton and Rustico. Other clergy assisting with the service were the Ven. Archdeacon White of St. Me.ry‘s. Summerside, Rev. Canon Malone. Rev. H. D. Raymond and the newly inducted rector of the parish, Rev. E. O. Lancaster. The church was beautifully dec- orated with fems and the commun- ion table was adomed with flowers. The church was filled to capacity with people, to join in worship and to witness these beautiful and in- spiring services. both of which were taken with all the grace and solem- nity which the prayer book offers. The service of Institution was taken by the Bishop, who pre- sented letters of Institution and Induction to the rector of the par- ish. Ven. Archdeacon White induc- ted the rector into his perish church with much grace and dignity. Nineteen candidates were pre- sented for the laying on of the hands. Nine were presented by the Rector of St. Pa.ul's. Charlottetown. and ten by the rector of Milton and Rustico. In addressing the candidates the Bishop spoke upon the text “My Grace is sufficient for thee, my strength is mode perfect in weak- ness." His Lordship exhorted the candidates to trust not in their own weakness but in God‘s strength, and to present themselves a. living sac- rifice unto God.
