Davis, aged twenty-six years, a claim agent for the Lake Shore railroad, committed suicide at Cieveland, Ohio, last ces, arly in the evening he went toa barber shop with his brother, and they re- turned to their home. Going toaspare bedroom he lighted the gas, sat down on a chair before a mirror, put his feet on another chair, and shot himself through the temple, the bullet passing entirely through his head. He had the house twa little girls, who enquired for him, and exp!ained that their sister, whom he was to have married that evening, was waiting for him at her home. The young lady is Miss Anna Noonan, an intelligent Ler that evening st her home. They were t» have gone to the Rev, R. A. George, of Trinity Congregational church, to be mar- ried, and had planned a short trip. Miss Noonan was greatly distressed by the sad affair.
