DEAR JIM & TAMMY Dear Jim & Tammy; I am aé junior here at UPEI and have a ma- jor problem. I share an apartment in Blanchard Hall with another junior new guy’s are a real pain. They are always taking my food from my cupboard (it does not really bother me). The REAL problem occurs when they take my nice cold BEER from the frige. What can I do to keep them from taking my stuff?? SOBER AND HUNGRY. Dear Sober and Hun- ery; Tammy and I talked it over with our good friend while we sat in our The latest student or- ganization to be formed on our Campus is the Histor- ical Society. Congratula- tions are due to all its mem- bers, and although they are a group concerned with the past, we wish them every success in their future. We also urge members of the history faculty to offer their support and guidance so that every opportunity for success will be utilized. At the last meeting late, September 30, the ociety elected its execu- ive committee. The re- ulting group are a deter- nined foursome who should erve the new organization dmirably: Co-chairpersons: _Kim tright , Lynn DesRoches Treasurer: Graham urden ; Secretary: > Darin acKinnon Congratulations re also to be extended to ur History Society repre- entatives on the Faculty. card: Luke Triantafillou nd Mark Kelley. Their Tesence shall prove invalu- ble to all history students ho are concerned with the Spects of their courses. As with any society on his Campus, the sum of ‘S success depends exclu- vely on the loyalty and eadfastness of its mem- ers, For this reason, © urge all history majors hether freshmen, sopho- cre, junior, or seniors, make themselves known, and two freshmen and the_ whirlpool and it seems that the only problem that you have is that you don’t wish to share your good fortune with those who are around you.. The best thing that you can do is get down on your knees and pray for forgiveness, as well as put your BEER up in a lockable cooler. Dear Jim & Tammy; I’m a freshette here at lovely UPEI and have a real problem. My roomy is a third year BIOLOGY ma- jor and she smells like the _ stuff they use to preserve dead animals. She is really nice but smells so bad that I can’t stay in the room. What can I do? B.O.’ed to death History Society A “Blast From The Past” and to share with others their ideas and convictions. Much is planned for the fu- ture, and you can be a part of our legacy. Meetings are usually held every second Wednesday in room #4 of the Robertson Library, but watch for posters displaying any activities or other pro- posed meeting times. During future meet- ings, the Society will be adopting a_ coat-of-arms, and discussing fund-raising activities which will enable us to sponsor some major events and purchase equip- ment. This past weekend, the Economics Society challenged us to a soccer match, the result of which was 6 — 4 in their favour, however; everyone present enjoyed themselves and good sportsmanship abounded. This result was by no no means the begin- ning of an “historic” prece- | dent on our part... so watch out fellow societies; “time” is on our side! In closing, I urge all in- terested to join us and re- mind them that member- ship dues are now being taken. For only $5.00 you can join the distinguished ranks of the UPEI History So- ciety. For more informa- tion on this or other ques- tions you might have, con- tact Kim at 892-8615 or Graham at 894-4634. See you at the next meeting! ® | | | | . DEAR B.O.’ed; Be thankful that you have a place to stay; What we think you should do is talk to her about her prob- lem, she may not even know about, and if that doesn't work then go to the ARMY SURPLUS store and buy a used GAS MASK ( or a life- time supply of a good per- fume ) or you could always get the Ch’town Fire Dept to practice on her.
