The atiention of Commercial Travellers ig the following sections of an Je Assembly of Sdward Isiand, Session 1894. intituled *Am Act to Impose a Direct tax on Certain Clagses l. “From and after the passing of this Act every casual trader not permanent! in this Province doing business thin Province, commonly known as Comnnenre Travellers,” and every person not permanente ~~ ly residing in this Province, and who sella = either for himself or any other person any goods, wares or merc handize in this Province, or solicits or canvasses tor orders either himself or any other person for the sale, wares merehandize within this Province, either the production of sam pics, photographs, iogues, printed or written matter, or st by word of mouth without the prod samples, photographs, catalognes, prin written matter, shall, before he or she upon the business of so selling any goods, wares or merchandize, or soliciting or cam vassing for Sach orders, pay to the Provineial ~ Treasurer of this Province an annual license x fee or direct tax of fifteen dollars.” “Upon payment of the said license fee or direct tax, the shall grant a license authorizing the therein named to re!ll woods, wares an 3 chandize in this Province, and to solielt and 3 canvass foi orders for the sale, exchange or — purchase of goods, wares and’ merohandiag. within this Provinee.
