IN MEMORIAM JAMES GORDON DOUM The death occurred at the Li- tngstone - MacArthur Nursingl Home on August 27th, 1957 all James Gordon Douglas in his srventy- eighth year. The late Mr. Douglas was born and re- sided in Head of liillsorough, P.F..l. until he suffered a para- lytic stroke in 1954. Gordon. as he was known to all, bore his illness with Christian patience, resignation and fortitude. He was a rrian of cheerful disposit- ion. kind. thoughtful and sympa- thetic. His borne was one where friends were graciously welcom- ed. The late Mr. Douglas was a memer of Mt. Stewart Presy- terian Church, and had served faithfully on the Board of Trust- ees for many years. He leaves to mourn. besides his sormwing widow, the former Adeline Birt of St. Patrick's Road, three sons and six daugh- ters namdy: Howard. Char- lottetown; Albion. Salisbury. Maryland; Wallace. Giarlotie- town; Mary (Mrs. Merton Jar- Mount Stewart; Alice (Mrs. Milton Rodgerson) Fan- ningbrook; lab (Mrs. Horace MacEwan) Charlottetown; Catherine (Mrs. Cecil Jay), st. Pateraburg. The hymns sung were: The Ia-d”s My Shepherd and Asleep in Jesus. The choir rendered beautifully "In he Sweet Bye and Eye" which was a favourite of the deceased. The pail bear- ers were: Messrs.
