y ’rlssues On The System UNIVERSITY LIFE 'Another university year is half over and many things in this place are all- ready beginning to urk me. In this article I plan to express my points of view on the ’way the university is being run. But first let's look at the rest of the problem; i-he people that work in this uneversity'. Not the professors but namely the administration. To help the students Eetter umierstand these people, I will list the qualifications to get a job at U.P.E.I., in my point of view. QJALIE‘IQTIONS ~3;The Ability To Do Nothing And Make On You Are Doing . Something: This theory is as true as they come. If the admini- stration did away with ev— ery job that people nothing in then the university staff would be cut in half. As I know there are many people who make on they do some- thing but I still have yet to figure out what. The President himself shows how much he knows about running a university with the proposals he brought up a month ago. These propos— als were so outrageous, by. Tony Carrol UPEI SUN November I8, I902 I.___ The university could 'save a lot of money here. He makes on he does a lot by planting approximately $40,000 worth of trees and takes credit for this. _ But actually, after talking to Island Nursery this sum— mer, over half of the trees are dead before they are planted and the rest are mostly run over by cars, so why bother wasting the student's tuition on trees we do not even care for. This holds true for the security department as they put useless parking tickets on cars, to make on they are doing something, but nobody ever pays these tickets. Sane holds true lmow where in the name of __ __ _ they got the head of student services. . This guy is supposed to be there to help the students but,. instead, he goes against them. This is funny having a person like this in such a job because only two people like this man, (he and his wife). So how can this man help the stu— dents? You tell me. Sure there are bursaries and such but we can get these forms without these people. I would like to say that the employment center and the councillors are extremely helpful to students and these people are 'definetely needed. ‘ This is just the first they were funny. As for the issue on the system at Bald Head of the Maintenance for the head residents. They have to cause a dis— turbance just to make on they are doing something. 1. Talk behind people's backs: This ability is the number one qualification for a job at UPEI. ‘You must be UPEI, and there is more revealing articles to come. staff I have yet to figure CO keep reading in issues " I out what he does.
